Rules of Acceptable Use - Bulletin Board

This Bulletin Board service is intended to provide a forum for you to exchange information, options and comments. Please remember that this is a public space, open to all age groups, so whilst we welcome your opinions, please word your comments appropriately. Blackheath Rugby reserves the right to block access to this service to certain IP addresses and users at its discrestion. Your use of this service is subject to the following terms which, by your use of the service, you are deemed to accept:


1. Acceptable Use
(a) You may not use any obscene or offensive language, or place any material obscene or offensive.
(b) You may not place on the site any material which is defamatory, abusive, discriminatory or hateful.
(c) You may not place any material on the site which may encourage criminal conduct or which may give rise to civil liability, or which is otherwise unlawful.
(d) You may not place any material on this site belonging to any person other than yourself without the prior written consent of the owner of it. Simply because information is available on the Internet, it does not mean it is copyright free.
(e) You may not place any advertisement or make commercial solicitations of any kind on this web site, this includes the advertisment of tickets for rugby matches or other events.
(f) You may not place any messages in the name of someone other than yourself (i.e. No Impersonation)
(g) Contributions must be civil and tasteful.
2. Our Use of the Material
You grant Blackheath Rugby Ltd. (and others authorised by Blackheath Rugby Ltd.) the unrestricted right to use, reproduce, translate and distribute any material you place on the Web site. Blackheath Rugby Ltd. reserves the right (but undertakes no duty) to review, edit, move or delete any material on this site, at its sole discretion.
3. Liability
Blackheath Rugby Ltd. accepts no responsibility for any statements, material or other submissions placed on this Web site by any you or any third party, or for any loss or damage resulting from your breach of these Rules of Acceptable Use.
4. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Blackheath Rugby Ltd., its employees and representatives from any and all claims and liabilities (including legal fees) which arise from your statements, material or other submissions to this Web site, from any unauthorised use of material obtained via this Web site or otherwise from your breach of these Rules of Acceptable Use.
5. IP Addresses and Cookies
You agree to the recording of your IP Address, when a message is placed, for security purposes. This address may be used to trace you, or the machine on which that message was placed. You also agree that a cookie is placed on your PC which, upon first use, allocates a Unique Number. All messages placed will then log this number for security purposes. No personal information is gathered in this cookie.
6. The Law
You must not submit any illegal or defamatory content to the message board. This includes images, audio, text and programs. Any contribution with the intention of committing or promoting and illegal act is prohibited. All material you post must be your own original work. You may not violate, plagiarise or infringe copyright, trademarks, trade secrets, privacy, personal or proprietary rights.
7. Under 16s
You must get your parents' or guardians permission before taking part in the message board. Also, never reveal any personal information about yourself (for example telephone number , email, address, school etc.)
8. Breach of rules
If you fail to abide by the rules, you may be barred from using this service. BlackheathRugby.co.uk (and associated parties) may use any information available to it to prevent further infingements, including IP address reverse lookups. BlackheathRugby.co.uk (and associated parties) may also inform third parties such as your employer, school or ISP about any infringements.
